How do deposit systems in other countries differ from the system planned for Austria?

In Austria, a central system with a central body is being established, similar to the approach taken in various Scandinavian countries. In contrast to this, Germany, for example, has a decentralised system with multiple processing points. From the consumers’ perspective, the systems are virtually identical.
